The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards is making its way to our screens in the spring to honor the creative prowess and icon status of this year's most influential entertainers.
For three decades, the award show has commemorated some of our favorite onscreen highlights (and those who made them happen), including Best Fight to Euphoria's Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie), Best Music Documentary to Olivia Rodrigo's driving home 2 u, and Best Reality Return to Paris Hilton.
Like the style and vernacular of its award categories, the occasion is typically home to looks more vibrant and eccentric than the classic red-carpet glamour seen at Hollywood events like the Academy Awards. At the same time, more ad-lib moments are often expected onstage, bound to keep viewers on their toes.
This year's awards show will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
Ahead, see everything else to know about the 2023 Movie & TV Awards, including its performers, leading nominees, and more.

Barrymore was also nominated for Best Talk/Topical Show for The Drew Barrymore Show last year, and honored as dynamic duo in 2020 at MTV Awards: Greatest of All Time with Adam Sandler, namely for their lead collaborations on several films including Blended (2014) and 50 First Dates (2004).
