Drew Barrymore Is Getting Her Own Daytime Talk Show
If you've already went out and bought Drew Barrymore's entire Flower Home line (including the kids' furniture and decor) and are needing another fix of the Charlie's Angels actress in your life, then look no further—she's about to head to the small screen in an exciting new adventure.
Already an actress, producer, and decor designer, Barrymore officially has another title to add to her long list of accomplishments: talk show host. The Santa Clarita Diet actress will officially host her own show from CBS Television Distribution, joining the ranks of other stars-turned-daytime hosts like Kelly Clarkson.
“Drew is a huge star and a breath of fresh air—her show will energize any station’s lineup,” said Steve LoCascio, chief operating and financial officer of CBS Global Distribution Group.
“It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show," Barrymore said in a release.
CBS Television President Peter Dunn has also referred to the show as "the brightest prospect [he has] seen in many years," adding that the network is expecting to "strike gold" with audiences and advertisers.
Barrymore's new show does not have a set title yet, but it will be executive produced by Barrymore as well as Chris Miller, and Ember Truesdell. No premiere date has been set, but Barrymore's show is set to debut in the fall of 2020.
