Dree Hemingway’s look in new Miu Miu Cruise campaign screams Margot Tenenbaum. The pin straight blonde hair parted deeply to the side and fastened over the ear with a single, contrasting pin is reminiscent of Tenenbaum’s signature look, as played by Gwyneth Paltrow in Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaums.

Tenenbaum’s look is incomplete without a glossy pink lip and heavy black eyeliner, which makeup artist Miranda Joyce swapped out for a soft brown, smoky rim on Hemingway.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Tenenbaum look reincarnated. Prada, Miu Miu’s parent brand, never shies away from a deep side part. Prada’s latest Spring runway featured straight, ear-length bobs with bobby pins, and the brand’s Spring 2014 runway featured a look very similar to Hemingway’s new campaign.

Bobby pins are also making statement on red carpets, and the Cushnie Et Ochs Fall 2015 runway took them to the next level.

Hemingway’s Miu Miu campaign shows us a wearable way to bring the trend into the real world.
