Drake’s Attire Has University of Georgia Fans Worried Their Team Will Fall to the Rapper's Notorious 'Curse'

After Drake was spotted wearing a Georgia Bullfrogs hoodie, fans are concerned the so-called “Drake Curse” may now doom the University of Georgia football team.

A personal photo of the rapper has begun circulating showing him decked out in Bullfrogs merch at his son Adonis’ sixth birthday party. Accompanying it was the caption, “Georgia has been hit by the Drake curse.”

Many fans of Drake and football alike are saying his choice in attire has sealed Georgia’s fate in their game against the Vanderbilt Commodores this weekend.

“Oh boy they're doomed,” one user said of the Bullfrogs alongside a crying-laughing emoji.

The X (formerly Twitter) account Everything Georgian, which is for “lovers of the Peach State,” reposted the picture with the simple caption, “Noooooooooooo.”

“Take it down before it’s too late!” one fan warned.

“Yessir, I need him to wear it again before the Tech game,” another commented.

The Drake Curse is notorious, to say the least. Fans coined the phrase as a joke because the Take Care rapper, a major sports fan, often finds himself pictured with athletes or teams that end up losing or consistently underperforming. It was funny to pretend that Drake was a bit of a jinx. But like so many jokes, it held a kernel of truth.

The artist’s most lasting “curse” has fallen upon the Toronto Raptors. He serves as their Global Ambassador, and they even hold a Drake Night every season in his honor. However, the team has suffered a staggering variety of losses since Drake assumed his mantle in 2013.
