'Dr. Stone' Releases Season 3 Teaser

After releasing the final official chapter of its manga earlier this year with a special chapter announced for later this year, the popular anime series Dr. Stone has now confirmed the release of Season 3 for April 2023. Titled "Dr. Stone: New World," season three will see the return of genius teenager Senku as he continues to find a way to revive the rest of humanity, restore civilization, and find the cause of the cataclysmic event that turned all of humanity into stone.

Yusuke Kobayashi (Food Wars) is expected to return to voice Senku, while Makoto Furukawa (One Punch Man) is set to return as Senku's muscular friend Taiju.

For those that have yet to catch up, below is the series' official synopsis:

"One fateful day, all of humanity turned to stone. Many millennia later, Taiju frees himself from the petrification and finds himself surrounded by statues. The situation looks grim until he runs into his science-loving friend Senku! Together they plan to restart civilization with the power of science!"

In the meantime, a new special episode is set to premiere later this week dedicated to the new central character Ryusui Nanami, an expert sailor and heir to Nanami Conglomerate. The opening cinematic can be found below. Stay tuned for more updates.
