'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman' Co-Stars Reunite on Lifetime's 'A Christmas Spark'

Jane Seymour plays a widow who finds a new zest for life when she directs a community play.

Fans of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman are on pins and needles awaiting the premiere of A Christmas Spark on Lifetime. The film, exec-produced by Toni Braxton, reunites Dr. Quinn co-stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando.

Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman ran for six seasons and two TV movies and starred Seymour as the titular character with Joe Lando as pioneer Byron Sully.

The pair had previously reunited in the 2011 Hallmark film, Perfectly Prudence.

What is A Christmas Spark about?

Recently widowed Molly (Jane Seymour) has lost her zest for life and given up on ever finding love again. But when she decides to visit her daughter, Kristen (Sarah Smyth), for Christmas, she has no idea what holiday magic is in store for her. A former drama teacher, Molly reluctantly takes on the job of directing the town’s Christmas pageant and soon finds herself falling for her leading man, Hank (Joe Lando), the town’s most eligible bachelor. As Molly and the irrepressible Hank fall in love, she rediscovers her inner free spirit and finds a new lease on life. And when the star of the pageant loses her voice moments before the show, it will be up to Molly to step into the spotlight and shine brightly for the first time in her life.

Jane Seymour (Molly)

Jane Seymour is best known to audiences for her years as the titular character in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and in the cult favorite film, Somewhere in Time opposite the late Christopher Reeve. A multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner, Seymour is also a recipient of the Officer of the British Empire (OBE).
