Dr. Pimple Popper Removes a Cluster of Milia Cysts Around a Man's Eye

From Men's Health

• In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a cluster of milia cysts located around a woman's eye.
• Milia cysts are more commonly found on newborn babies, but in rarer cases, they can also emerge in adulthood.
• In most cases they're benign, and if left untreated will go away on their own over the course of a few weeks.

Most times when we talk about transformations, it's in reference to someone who started eating healthier, hit the gym, and got back in shape. But in her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—serves up a much different—and much smaller—kind of transformation. Much, much smaller.

In the video, Dr. Lee tackles a case of milia cysts, which are tiny bumps—about 1 to 2 millimeters—that pop up when keratin gets trapped under the skin, according to MedicalNewsToday. While they're more common in children—specifically, infants—they can affect adults, too, and are usually nothing more than a nuisance that gradually fades away in a month or two.

As the video shows, they tend to form around the eyes and are relatively simple for a dermatologist to snip away if they persist over time or become otherwise bothersome to the patient. Regular exfoliating—washing your face, in other words—and using sunscreen can greatly reduce the risk of getting them.

If you're jonesing for more dramatic transformations from Dr. Lee, you won't have to wait much longer: Dr. Pimple Popper returns to TLC tomorrow night at 9/8 central.
