Dr. Pimple Popper Popped a 'Bean Sprout' from a Blackhead

  • In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper takes out several blackheads in her patient's skin.

  • A blackhead is a clogged hair follicle that has become plugged with dead skin and oil.

  • These blackhead contents look exactly like "bean sprouts."

Dr. Pimple Popper is back on her Instagram with yet another classic set of pops, and fans are going to love them. The dermatologist and TLC host — whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee — has a collection of blackheads to get rid of in one of her latest videos, and according to one fan, the last in the collection looks just like a "bean sprout."

Dr. Lee's video begins with her going in with her trusty comedo extractor, a tool she uses to apply pressure to blemishes and squeeze free the contents of a blackhead. These small, under the skin spots are typically made from sebum and dead skin that have collected and then been exposed to air to create a black "head."

One by one, Dr. Lee goes in and removes the buildup with white bits curling free, and the doctor herself even refers to the gunk as a "curlicue." However, according to one Instagram commenter, the last blackhead has another appropriate comparison.

As the dermatologist is finishing up, there's one blackhead left, and it requires a bit of elbow grease. She presses in strongly with her extractor, and the oil and and dead skin that comes forth looks just like a "bean sprout" according to the user.
