Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, is serving fans the #wednesdaymotivation we need with another super-satisfying "maggot" blackhead extraction from the nose of one of her elderly patient's in a new Instagram Reel.
She's always comparing her pops to different foods and animals, and she's previously posted insect-like pops, like these giant 'larvae' blackheads, "perfect worm" blackheads and whiteheads, this dilated pore of winer stuffed with a "caterpillar", a huge "butterfly" lipoma, a 'bug' from a patient's ear, and this "tick" blackhead. And she's back with another 'buggy' blackhead video with this Instagram Reel that has fans bugging out.
"I’ll just leave this here… #drpimplepopper #wednesdaymotivation," she captioned the video.
In the video, Dr. Pimple Popper uses one of her signature comedone extractors to go to work on her patient's nose. She spots a huge blackhead at the tip of his nose, and as she presses down, a 'maggot' blackhead springs up from the pore.
"Sorry I know the nose is a little bit tough. Eek! But that was a good one!" says Dr. P, referencing how painful pops on the nose can be.
To add a dramatic element, the Reel replays the pop in slow-motion, showing the worm-like blackhead slowly emerging from the skin.
"Yes! I love old men noses," one Popaholic wrote. And another noted that the blackhead "look like maggots". Another thought that it resembled something "like worms 😲." And another wrote, "How does something like this live so deep?"
You never know what's lurking deep in patients' pores.
