In Dr. Pimple Popper's new Instagram video, she helps an older woman with a cyst so close to her eye.
It looks like the derm punches her in the eye to start the extraction using the punch biopsy tool.
Dr. Pimple Popper's patient feels some pain as she digs in the cyst, worrying fans before the video cuts off.
It may be the holiday season, but dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, a.k.a. Dr. Pimple Popper, isn't pulling any punches. I mean that in the most literal sense. In her latest Instagram video, she's actually punching a woman in the eye. Well, Dr. Pimple Popper is aiming at a cyst that is too close to her eye for comfort.
The derm admits it too and shares in the caption: "A precarious little fella #drpimplepopper #popahlics" It is precarious, but Dr. Pimple Popper is all over this pimple case.
Dr. Pimple Popper uses her punch biopsy tool to open up the solid cyst. This part goes smoothly, as does the plug removal that follows. But, Dr. Pimple Popper has to dig deeper in the skin with her scissors and tweezers. The woman visibly winces. Dr. Pimple Popper asks: "Am I hurting you?" Her patient utters a muffled response. Then, the video ends abruptly. Cue the yikes!
The fans were more than a bit concerned for the patient. One wrote: "that did look painful didn’t it?!" The wince doesn't lie, folks.
Another fan commented: "Before you stitch that hole might as well just pull a few wrinkles there 😏😁😅 just kidding - but I felt bad because she felt some pain (glad doctor still wanted to give her more numbing, even tho the patient said “not it’s ok”)"
