The ‘Downton Abbey’ Movie Just Snagged a Release Date

Have your private secretary mark your social calendar because the Crawleys just shared the date of their cinematic debut.

Focus Features announced that the Downton Abbey movie finally has a release date, and thank goodness it’s only a year away.

Like the series, the long-awaited film will center on the hoity-toity Crawley family and the servants who keep their Edwardian English country house looking spick-and-span (and full of juicy drama).

The Downton Abbey movie will reunite original cast members like Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern and Matthew Goode. But what’s a party without some new faces? Imelda Staunton, Geraldine James, Simon Jones, David Haig, Tuppence Middleton, Kate Phillips and Stephen Campbell Moore will also star in the forthcoming film.

Sounds like a jolly good time, right?

Well, we know what we’re doing Friday, September 20, 2019.
