Dove Cameron Teases Debut Album at 2023 Kids' Choice Awards

'Boyfriend' singer Dove Cameron has had us in a fashion chokehold since her Disney Channel Liv and Maddy era when she single-handedly served inspo for both the hyper-feminine girlies and the laid-back and athletic ones. Not to mention her red carpet looks. But since Dove has blossomed from her iconic bubblegum princess Disney days, her fashion sense has flourished to carry a much more mature, sleek, and edgy vibe.
Her most recent killer look, styled by Heather Picchiottino, comes in an Insta post that she captioned, "last night monochromatic @jeanpaulgaultier moment 🌫️🌫️🌫️swipe to see peanut make an appearance (fyi, Peanut is her cat, Peanut Butter 🥹)." For the photoshoot, Dove also showed off her contortionist skills in a backward bend pose with her long dark brown locks sweeping the floor. She wore a strapless black corset top with a zipper down the front and circular cutouts lining the bust. Her bare arms showed off her scattered tattoos. She paired the lingerie top with wide-leg trousers and chunky platform peep-toe heels. Her makeup was kept simple, with a pinky nude lip and her signature sharp AF eyeliner (we need her makeup artists to drop tips and products ASAP, thx).
She wore the look to this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, ft. Charli D'Amelio as a co-host, where she won a well-deserved orange blimp for 'Favorite Breakout Artist.' The 27-year-old star hinted at new music in her acceptance speech.
"Knowing that this is a fan vote means the absolute world to me. You know you guys are my everything," Dove started her speech.
"I was a really sensitive and deeply feeling and emotional kid. Oftentimes that left me feeling really alone because I felt really different than anyone around me. Like I know that you guys feel a lot, and the beautiful thing that I learned about being deeply feeling and very sensitive is that if you sit with it for long enough you can make it into something really special, and it can become your superpower, so if you're like me, and you're deeply feeling and very sensitive just know that you're not weak. You're incredibly strong, and you might just be an artist in the making, who knows!" she said.
The singer finished off her thank you speech by teasing her album. "Thank you guys, I love you so much more than I could possibly say, stay tuned for my debut album." And tuned we'll stay.
