Dove Cameron Has Revived Low-Rise Jeans and It's Making Me So Nostalgic

Can we pause the skinny jeans vs. mom jeans debate for just a second? Because an even more pressing denim-related controversy has just come up at the hands of actress Dove Cameron.
Last week, Dove stepped out in NYC looking early-'00s as f*ck. She wore a smiley face-printed bustier top with a matching moto jacket, metallic orange pumps, and a pair of loose-fit mom jeans.
Though the jeans (which have also been worn by Kylie Jenner, FYI) were meant to be high-rise, Dove put her own DIY spin on them. Going for that low-low look, she rolled down the waistband to reveal 2004's favorite accessory: the belly button.
Like Dove, other super stylish celebs (Bella Hadid, Olivia Rodrigo, etc.) have been leaning into this look in recent months, so it's only a matter of time before it hits your closet as well.
