Doritos Is Launching A Tangy New Flavor
You can always count on Doritos to shock our taste buds with new flavors. Their tortilla chips range from tangy to spicy to subtly sweet, and they've just introduced a new chip that will combine that trio of flavors. According to Food Network, Doritos has already begun rolling out their new Tangy Tamarind flavor. Expect the new chip to be “tangy, with a kick of heat and citrus.”
Popular in Hispanic and South Asian cuisines, tamarind is a tart fruit that's both sweet and sour and commonly found in candies and other sweets. Doritos Tangy Tamarind isn't the first flavor from the brand to flaunt the mouth-puckering "tangy" label. Previous tangy flavors include Tangy Cheese, Tangy Pickle, and Tangy Ranch.
Although Doritos Tangy Tamarind is already popping up at some retailers, the chips will be available nationwide starting August 15. Some people who have managed to nab a bag have enthusiastically shared it on social media.
