The actress won the lifetime achievement award at the 2023 SAG Awards.

Sally Field's son was the life of the party during the 2023 SAG Awards–on Twitter that is.

The actress' son, Sam Greisman, 35, wasn't able to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards and, in his own words, wasn't "able to try and flirt with Andrew Garfield" at the awards show. However, he was available to give some golden commentary over on social media while he cheering on his mom at home.

During the ceremony, which aired Feb. 26 on Netflix's YouTube channel, the same actor that Greisman wanted to shoot his shot with had presented Field, 76, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. In response to seeing Field's on-screen nephew—Field was the Aunt May to Garfield's Spiderman—Greisman joked that the actor might be a more loving relative to Field.

"Andrew Garfield really raising the bar for her real life family. We’re not that nice to her!" he wrote on Twitter during the show.

Another moment in the show caught Field chatting it up with Austin Butler, to which Greisman noted, "She has better game than me."

Butler seemingly wasn't the only celeb on Field's radar, as she was also seen with actress Amanda Seyfried on the red carpet. "Picked up another hottie," Greisman quipped in response to a fan's tweet with a photo of the two actresses talking it up with each other.

After the show, Field's son admitted to his Twitter followers that it was a "big mistake for me not to be there," to which one fan responded that they wanted an explanation–we're still waiting Mr. Greisman!

While Greisman was definitely the shining star over on Twitter, his mom was also having her own special moment at the ceremony, as she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

"It [acting] was never about a need to hide myself behind the characters of other people. Acting to me has always been about finding those few precious moments when I feel totally, utterly, sometimes dangerously alive," Field gushed while accepting her award.
