Donnie Wahlberg Pens Emotional Birthday Tribute to His Brother Mark

Birthdays always leave us feeling nostalgic, and the same holds true for celebrities. That's definitely the case for Blue Bloods star and NKOTB singer Donnie Wahlberg. His famous younger brother, Mark, celebrated a birthday this week, and Donnie took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute.
Donnie and Mark are the youngest of nine siblings, with Donnie being just a year older. The tight-knit brothers are proud natives of Boston's Dorchester neighborhood (and, naturally are lifelong Celtics fans). Along with being major stars in the entertainment industry, they own the Wahlburgers restaurant chain, once the subject of a reality TV show, with their brother John.
Mark celebrated his 51st birthday on June 5, and Donnie shared a photo on Instagram of the brothers sitting courtside at a basketball game. Donnie wrote, "Happy Birthday to my brother @markwahlberg! This is one of those rare years (that we dreamed of as kids) when my lil’ brothers birthday, Dorchester Day and the @celtics playing in #TheFinals, were all happening on the same day. The best of times as kids, and even more special now that we are a little bit older and understand how special it all is! So blessed. So #thankful! Happy Birthday Mark, Happy #DorchesterDay everyone back home and let’s go @celtics! 🎂🎉🎈🙏🏼❤️💫☘️"
Mark responded with a simple " 🙌❤️🙌." Fans jumped in to offer their happy birthday wishes with comments like "one of my favorite pictures of you two! Happy birthday Mark and go celts!" and "gotta love those Wahlberg brothers- strong faith filled family ...adding lots of love to this not so loving world. Thank you all for being you!!!
