  • The Blue Bloods family dinners are a staple of the CBS show.

  • Apparently, one cast member is known for eating the most, especially when they serve his favorite dish.

Blue Bloods has lasted 10 seasons for many reasons. The characters are lovable, the mystery always keeps us on our toes, and fans just can’t get enough of the legendary Reagan family dinners.

We already know that they serve real food at these weekly events, and that the cast can have a love-hate relationship with them, according to stars Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan. But overall, they seem to enjoy getting to catch up with each other over delicious plates of meat and potatoes (and cucumbers, in Bridget’s case).

But according to TVInsider, one member of the Reagan clan tends to pack away a little more than the rest—and it’s Donnie Wahlberg. The New Kids on the Block frontman even admits it himself!

The dish that really puts him over the edge is “pork chops and applesauce” and now we’re immediately craving that.

In general, prop master Jim Lillis says the typical menu consists of “American comfort food,” so Donnie likely gets plenty of his favorite recipes often. But they also pull out all the stops for big occasions, and even flew in stone crabs from Miami once.

For anyone who’s concerned about all those leftovers, that doesn’t seem to be an issue. “Food that’s still good is shared with the crew to take home,” Jim said. “Nothing goes to waste.”

Phew! We only wish we could be invited one of these weeks…
