Count on Twitter to find the one hot take President Donald Trump had on Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's relationship from way before he was president. A 2013 tweet from Trump resurfaced this week after Hemsworth and Cyrus announced their separation. Trump, who was apparently once quite invested in celeb couples, tweeted his support for Cyrus after she and Hemsworth first ended their engagement.

".@MileyCyrus – don’t worry about Liam. You can do much better and you have plenty of time—remain strong!" he wrote.

The comments on it are a trip: They're a mix of 2013 tweets, 2017 tweets when Cyrus and Hemsworth were back together, plus people throughout the years marveling that yes, the President of the United States once felt inclined to share his opinion about Cyrus' love life to the world. "There's always a tweet," one user wrote. "WHY IS THIS REAL," another commented. "Lol I forgot he used to send celebrities uplifting tweets. A kinder, softer Donald," a third user wrote.

Cyrus isn't likely to be moved by Trump's six-year-old support now. As Cyrus told ELLE, she's no fan of the President's policies. "I have a new song called 'Bad Karma,' but there is no such thing as karma," she said in her August issue interview. "There’s just cause and effect. Otherwise Donald Trump wouldn’t be president. I don’t believe that everyone gets theirs."

"It’s just cause and effect," she continued. "If you have a lot of money and you did a lot of shady shit, you’re going to win. That doesn’t mean that at some point someone’s not going to take you down. But I just don’t believe that everyone gets what they deserve."
