Donald Trump Hasn't Gotten Melania a Christmas Gift Yet
The holidays can creep up on all of us and according to CNN's Kate Bennett, the president is still working on his list. In a tweet posted today, the reporter notes that a solider asked President Trump what he'd gotten for his wife, Melania. His response let everyone know that he hadn't gotten her anything big just yet, but he added that he's still got time.
The president noted that he did get her a "beautiful card" and "a lot of love." That's sufficient enough, though he went to say that he's still working on getting her something for Christmas.
"We love our family, and we love each other. We've had a great relationship," Trump said. "There's a little time left. Not much, but a little time left."
The Independent notes that the interview was actually a video conference held with members of the U.S. military that are currently stationed overseas.

Trump had a similar M.O. for Melania's birthday last year, when he told Fox News that he was short on time and ended up getting her a card and flowers.
"You know I'm very busy to be running out looking for presents," he said at the time. "But I got her a beautiful card and some beautiful flowers."
Trump also addressed statements from North Korea's Kim Jong Un, who said that the country would have a "Christmas gift" for Washington, D.C.
"We'll see what happens. Maybe it's a nice present," Trump said on the call. "Maybe it's present where [Kim Jong Un] sends me a beautiful vase as opposed to a missile test. I may get a vase. I may get a nice present from him. You don't know. You never know."
