Donald Glover and Maya Erskine Tackle Espionage and Their Arranged Marriage in 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' Trailer

Prime Video unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith series, which stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as the titular characters.

The teaser opens with the two spies starting off their arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith, which quickly unfolds into a life filled with deadly espionage, wealth, travel and a stunning brownstone home in Manhattan. "Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other," the synopsis reads. "What’s riskier, espionage or marriage?"

Joining Glover and Erskine in the cast are Sarah Paulson, who serves as their marriage therapist, Michaela Coel, Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, John Turturro, Paul Dano, Alexander Skarsgård and Eiza González.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is based on the 2005 film of the same name, which originally starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Unlike the series, however, the movie plot focuses on the fact that the couple were unaware that they were both spies, and they are eventually assigned to eliminate each other.
