Don’t worry, Captain Swan shippers, Hook and Emma are still married during “Once Upon a Time” Season 7
For all of you mourning the loss of Emma (Jennifer Morrison) in the upcoming seventh season of Once Upon a Time, we have some very heartening news.
Colin O’Donoghue, who plays Emma’s husband Hook, reassured fans that the couple is still very happy.
That is, even though we might not exactly get to see it.
“We saw at the end of last season, Hook and Emma got married and it was a happy beginning as they called it, and they are happy together,” O’Donoghue told TVGuide. “That’s a definite, for the fans that are concerned about that; Hook and Emma are happy together.
The Hook that we meet in Season 7 is different than that Hook, and we will address Hook and Emma I think around Episode 2 of the show.”
Whew, okay, that’s a relief to hear.
O’Donoghue added that he’s excited to play out a new storyline and character.
That is, even though it was hard to say goodbye to many of his cast members.
“Obviously we’ll miss the cast who aren’t returning, and the show is going to be very, very different without them,” he said. “But equally, I’m as excited to get to work with [Andrew J. West] or [Dania Ramirez] or [Gabrielle Anwar], so it’s kind of equally as exciting to do that.”
Casting changes aside, there’s going to be a ton of shake-ups over in Storybrooke — including the fact that the new season won’t even be set in Storybrooke anymore. Instead, it will take place in Hyperion Heights, a “densely populated” city filled with both fairytale and non-fairytale folks.
We can’t wait to see what’s next and what’s new for the Once Upon a Time crew come October 6th. And in the meantime, we’ll be celebrating the love between Hook and Emma.
