The 2022 MTV Video Awards, hosted by Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow and LL Cool J, took place last night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey—and Parade.com has a look at the must-see fashions from the red carpet.
The awards show was one to remember with entertainment provided by Anitta, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Lizzo, BLACKPINK, Kane Brown, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, Jack Harlow, Måneskin, Marshmello x Khalid, Nicki Minaj, Panic! At The Disco, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Presenters included Ashley Graham, Avril Lavigne, Bebe Rexha, Becky G, Billy Eichner, Cheech & Chong, Chlöe Bailey, Dixie D’Amelio, DJ Khaled, Dove Cameron, Joel Madden, Latto, Lili Reinhart, and Offset.
In addition to performing, Minaj was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which is the VMAs equivalent of a lifetime achievement award. Previous recipients include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez.
Additionally, the Red Hot Chili Peppers received the night’s other top honorary award, the Global Icon Award.

The show aired on MTV with simulcasts on The CW Network, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand and VH1. The show also was available to stream via MTV.com with a cable login.
