Each year, when my husband asks me what kind of cake I want for my birthday, I don't know what to say. I'm not much of a cake person, and neither is he - we didn't even serve cake at our wedding! But a birthday without blowing out candles is just sad. So yellow cake and chocolate frosting is what I'll ask for. Everyone happily eats it, myself included, though it's not what I really want.

There's no rule that says you need to make cake, so why do we all do it? Let's all make cinnamon rolls for breakfast instead! Not everyone loves cake, but everyone loves cinnamon rolls. Right?!
To make the cinnamon rolls candle-worthy, you need to bake them into a fun shape - like a letter or a number! All you need to do is place them strategically side by side on a baking sheet. In the oven, they may take slightly longer to turn golden than the package instructs. But that's the only process change … besides sprinkles. After the icing, the rolls definitely need a good amount of rainbow jimmies. It's your dang birthday for goodness sake.
