Have you ever had to order an emergency pizza? What’s an emergency pizza, you ask? It’s a pizza you order because a new recipe turned out poorly or you forgot to defrost the chicken or your kid’s play practice ran late and there’s no time to make dinner and help with homework. Or, one of the many other reasons you planned to cook dinner, yet a homecooked dinner did not end up on the table.

I’ve ordered my share of emergency pizzas. I still remember the first one—many years ago in my first apartment—when I went to strain the pasta and forgot to put the strainer in the sink. The pasta slid straight into the garbage disposal. That’s when I learned the beauty of the emergency pizza. One phone call and a delicious pizza showed up at the front door.

I was a bit embarrassed that evening, but over the years I’ve learned something essential that every home cook should understand: There’s no shame in urgent, last-minute takeout. Everyone needs one from time to time. In fact, it’s so common that Domino’s has decided to introduce Domino's Emergency Pizza, a free pizza for those times when you need it the most.

What Is the Domino’s Emergency Pizza?

For those times when you need it most, Domino’s is offering a free medium pizza with up to two toppings now through February 11, 2024. (Yes! This offer runs right through the holidays!)

Of course, there are some conditions. To qualify for the freebie, you must place a delivery order online, or place a digital carryout order, of $7.99 or more. After the order goes through, this will automatically entitle you to a Domino’s Emergency Pizza.

Within seven days of that order, sign into or join Domino’s Rewards. Then within 30 days, go to the “My Deals & Rewards” page under your Domino’s Rewards account to redeem your dinner.

You get only one Emergency Pizza during the promotion, but there’s good news if you don’t redeem yours within 30 days. If it’s still within the promotional period, just place another delivery order online, or place a digital carryout order of $7.99 or more, and you’re re-eligible to claim the bonus pie.

Note: There are two days that you can’t claim your Emergency Pizza—on Halloween (October 31) and on New Year’s Eve (December 31). Dominos will still deliver pizzas on those days, just not free the Emergency bailout.

As usual, a free menu item doesn’t mean the delivery is free unless noted in the offer (and this offer does not say it includes free delivery). Also, it’s customary to tip the delivery driver for your entire order, even the free parts.
