Get ready to walk the plank because Dolly Parton is opening a pirate-themed restaurant in Florida.

Dolly is a very busy woman. Yet somehow between writing and performing chart-topping hits, sharing millions of books through her Imagination Libary, making biscuits and cornbread, funding vaccines, and performing with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, she has found time for a growing venture.

The Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show has been a favorite destination for visitors to Dollywood for years where diners get to watch swashbucklers battle it out aboard pirate ships while enjoying a hearty meal. The dinner-and-a-show was such a hit, they set sail for Myrtle Beach where it found new mateys. Now, they are picking up anchors and heading to Panama City Beach, Florida for a new buccaneering adventure.

“I knew that Panama City Beach was the perfect spot to open our third location,” Dolly said in a press release. “I’m so excited about bringing this show to such a great destination.”

Dolly and her team are moving quickly to prep the 60,000-foot space for swashbuckling fun, including building a brand-new lagoon for the mermaids and pirates to play in. “Everyone knows that I dream big, so we are going ‘overboard’ with the details as we prepare everything – from the show to the four-course pirates feast to the exterior of the building itself,” the “Jolene” singer said. Construction is slated to begin in January.

In addition to the new attraction for locals and tourists alike, this latest business venture for Parton is expected to also bring the opportunity for 300 new jobs to the area.
