Dolly Parton Will Be Voice of NFL Draft 2019

Sure, you can recognize Dolly Parton's voice with, oh, 100% accuracy. But would you expect the Queen of Country to lend her vocal chords to the NFL?

Well, Parton fans, we've got some exciting news. For the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Parton will step up to lend her talent for the football spectacle. "The country music icon has been tabbed to do the voice-over for the intro, part of the network’s 'Star is Born' theme that links Nashville, and the NFL Draft," writes Jim Wyatt for TitansOnline.com, home of the Tennessee Titans. "Over the course of the three-day draft (April 25-27), [NFL Network Vice President Charlie] Yook and his team will tell stories about the draft prospects, while also delivering news and nuggets, from draft stages in Nashville (including one outside Tootsies on Broadway), and in the buildings of all 32 NFL teams."

Currently, there's no further information on the exact airtime of Parton's voice-over work and if her contributions will be featured on-air during each day of the draft.

However things shake out, this development is a major touchdown for Team Smoky Mountain Songbirds.
