Arguably the most celebrated Tennessean since Davy Crockett, Dolly Parton has won Grammys, Emmys, and AMAs. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was declared a Living Legend by the Library of Congress, and most recently, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (inspiring her to create her first rock album, out later this year).

But Dolly says her father told her that "the most important thing I had ever done" was launch the Imagination Library. The organization is a book gifting program "that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family's income." And recently, the organization announced a significant milestone: 200 million books gifted globally.

To celebrate this momentous achievement, Dolly announced a memorable giveaway that has a bit of Willy Wonka flair to it:

"To celebrate this global 200 million book milestone, seven enchanting Dolly bookmarks will be randomly hidden inside Imagination Library books gifted during International Literacy Month (September) to children/families currently enrolled in the program. (Children must be enrolled by July 31, 2023 to receive Imagination Library books in September)."

And what will those lucky kids who find that enchanted bookmark get? A video chat with Dolly, a personalized signed letter from the singer, and an autographed photo. The lucky winners, along with their families, will also get four tickets to Dolly Parton's celebrated Dollywood theme park, plus the Dollywood Foundation will donate $2,000 on behalf of the bookmark holder "to their Local Imagination Library Partner in their community as a thank you to who Dolly calls the true heroes of her program."

But enchanted bookmarks aside, the real gift here is the gift of literacy that Parton has imparted to so many children since the program's inception in 1995.
