Dolly Parton never fails to wow us. On Thanksgiving Day, the 77-year-old superstar headlined the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders match. And for her performance, Parton decided to dress up like one of the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, grabbing everyone's attention in the process.

For her number, the 77-year-old singer sported the exact ensemble that is typically worn by Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders—a blue long-sleeve top that ties in the front, along with a white vest and booty shorts adorned with blue stars. To give the look her own personal sparkle, Parton added a sheer bodysuit and tights, both covered with diamonds.

Throughout her performance, Parton performed a number of her greatest hits, including “Jolene” and “9 to 5.” During the latter song, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders actually came onto the field and danced in front of the country crooner.

With her unexpected outfit choice, Parton not only surprised viewers, but sportscasters as well, who praised her performance.

In one video, former NFL quarterback and current analyst Tony Romo said, “I mean, she looks amazing, right? She’s wonderful. Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?”

“She's absolutely an American treasure,” fellow sportscaster Jim Nantz added. “For sure.”

Parton's performance was part of the Red Kettle Kickoff, a campaign that has been hosted by The Salvation Army for 133 years. The campaign aims to bring “Christmas gifts, food, shelter, and rent and utility assistance to millions of people struggling this holiday season and beyond.”

Dolly sure knows how to kick off the holiday season. We wonder if the DCC will be recruiting her soon to be a part of their squad.
