Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2019 outing celebrated 20 years of house codes. One slinky little black dress was pulled straight from the designers’ first collection, while others came covered in leopard spots and religious iconography, referencing their archive of nearly 100 shows. Clocking in at over 140 looks in total, one might say that this was an embarrassment of Italian riches, meant to keep viewers (and shoppers) occupied for hours and hours.

On the runway, the many Dolce & Gabbana muses called in for the occasion handled these layers of jewels and hefty floral headpieces with ease. The wide cast of characters included longtime collaborators like Monica Belluci, Helena Christensen, Eva Herzigova, and Carla Bruni and new faces (to Dolce, at least) like Ashley Graham, Emily Ratajkowski, and Maye Musk. The moral? After two decades of fashion, there’s a little Dolce for everyone. Watch how the collection came together in our exclusive video, above.
