Doja Cat Says She Has “Serial Dater” Tendencies, But Is Now “Very Much in Love”

Doja Cat is absolutely free and absolutely thriving.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar for her September cover story, the rapper and pop star reveals that not only may she take a break from music to dabble in acting and stand-up comedy, she’s also got a great new love in her life.

Doja opens up about her love life after hilariously mentioning her “boyfriends” when discussing an experience she had at a comedy club.

“Is it true that you want to do stand-up?” interviewer and rap radio legend Angie Martinez asks her.

“It’s something I’ve definitely considered. I actually went onstage recently with Craig Robinson. He’ll get on a piano and just play songs, but he’ll do it in his own Craig Robinson, funny-ass way. I went up onstage and sang with him at a comedy club. It was super low-key. I was there with one of my boyfriends,” Doja answers.

At that, Martinez asks the “Kiss Me More” if she creates room for love in her life.

“I love love. I’m possibly a serial dater. I definitely have had that in me a little bit,” Doja candidly says, before admitting she’s now found something much more serious.

“But right now I’m in a different place in my life where I am very committed and very much in love in a different way than before,” she adds. “I think I’ve evolved. I’m learning to love myself, so the way that I love other people is very different. I don’t feel like a lost little teen. I feel like a woman who is coming into her own.”

Doja does not name any names when speaking of her deep love, but she has recently been linked to Jeffrey “J” Cyrus, a comedian who gained attention some years ago with his Vine videos.
