Dogs welcome to brunch with owners, eat from puppy-themed menu in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)—Ruby Slipper, a Southern-inspired breakfast and brunch restaurant, is offering a puppy-themed menu for dogs to try throughout April.

The Patio Pup Menu consists of breakfast items including a Shaggy’s Scramble, which is made with two eggs, cheese and butter scrambled with green peppers and chicken sausage.

“Our guests have always enjoyed brunching on our patio with their pups, so Ruby Slipper’s culinary team created a fun ‘Doggone Good’ pup menu, which offers healthy menu options for our 4-legged friends to enjoy alongside their humans,” said Camille Collins, director of marketing.

Collins said dogs are always welcome to brunch with their owners as long as they stay on the patio.

“We kindly ask that they stay off tables, laps and chairs and remain on the ground,” said Collins.

Collins said there is no limit on dog sizes or how many an owner can bring. Dogs must remain on a leash and within reach of their owner.

“Ruby Slipper understands some guests might prefer to not be seated near a dog and the team is happy to accommodate those requests,” Collins said.

Ruby Slipper is also open to working with local shelters to host pet adoptions to celebrate National Pet Adoption Day on April 30. Shelters interested can connect with the Ruby Slipper by emailing marketing@rubybrunch.com.
