Dog's Sadness Over Being Surrendered Because Family Had a Baby Is Heartbreaking

When you bring home a new four-legged family member, your life changes forever. After all, pets are so much more than animals who roam the house and play with you--they're family members! A dog will love you unconditionally and endlessly, and all they expect is to be loved and cared for in return.

That's why it breaks my heart every time I see or hear about a dog who's been surrendered for an avoidable reason. Being a rescue pet can be so stressful, depressing, and confusing, but the incredible people who work and volunteer at shelters will do everything they can to keep them comfy until they find their perfect home.

Just take it from Snowflake the Pit Bull. This sweet shelter pup was surrendered when her family had a baby, and now she's at @humanebroward waiting for her story's happy ending. Her October 24 video is melting hearts!

Aww, Snowflake! Those sad eyes are breaking my heart, but I know this shy shelter pup is so close to finding her perfect, dedicated owner. Her first family was not right for her (or any dog!) if they gave up so easily on their pup after welcoming a baby. Having a dog is a lifelong commitment, and they deserve to be treated as such.

I'm glad to see that so many commenters agree. Viewer @moniccarum wrote, "Why? After 3 years, she didn't deserve that. I'm sorry for you baby girl. I hope your forever family comes soon." They have to be right around the corner! With such a calm demeanor and such a sweet face, it would be so hard to say no to this precious shelter dog.

In fact, someone may have already said yes! As of now, this rescue Pittie is no longer listed on the @humanebroward website, which can only mean she's been adopted. Now, she'll never have to worry about being replaced ever again!
