Dog's Petrified Reaction to Halloween Decorations Goes Viral on TikTok
This dog gives new meaning to the phrase 'frozen in fear.'
One dog was pawsitively *spooked* by its owner's front yard Halloween display.
TikTok user Lilly Flores shared a hilarious video of her dog's reaction to the family's Halloween decor that has garnered up quite an impressive reaction from the internet.
In the video, the dog, Maverick, looked completely frozen in fear while standing in the middle of several wooden black cat figures. "When your dog is terrified of black cats," the text overlay on the video read.
As the chocolate lab stood without even flinching a muscle, its owners giggled and recorded his reaction.
"Maverick," one of the owner's yelled out in hopes of breaking the trance, but Maverick didn't budge. They continued laughing, noting, "his tails not even flinching."
Eventually, they went over to comfort the good boy, letting him know that it was alright and that the cats were not going to get him.
"It's okay, dude," the owner reassured Maverick.
Maverick instantly became an online sensation, with fans taking to the comments to express their joy over the video.
One user wrote, "He looks like u PAUSED him 😂😂"
Another user jokingly commented, "Great job on the dog cut out. 👍🏼"
"I’m not convinced he’s not just another decoration😂" one TikTok user wrote.
Others pointed out that he just "understood the assignment" and followed the cats' lead by simply standing still
"He is now the new decoration for outside," one user quipped.
While Maverick was seemingly waiting for the cats to make the first move, he eventually began wagging his tail and slowly moved away from the decorations.
No dogs or cats were harmed in the making of this video.
