Has Dolly Parton gone to the dogs? Actually, she has—in the best possible way!

Tonight, the songwriting/singing goddess, icon, philanthropist, pet lover and all-around legend stars in Doggy Parton and CBS Present Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala, a two-hour variety special packed with music, fashion and fur.

The first-of-its-kind celebration will feature music's biggest stars, including Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Chris Janson and KC of KC and the Sunshine Band who will perform some of Parton’s classic hits including “Jolene,” “I will Aways Love You,” “9 to 5,” and” “Puppy Love” (along with some other classics too like Chris Janson singing “Hound Dog” with his hound Willie.)

Plus, there’s a runway of pooches in cool duds from Parton’s Doggy Parton pet line. The clothing was inspired by her iconic outfits. For example, look for a pup in a coat inspired by Parton’s coat of many colors. There are also doggy versions of the ensembles that Parton and Porter Wagoner wore where she got her first big break.

“I have hosted or co-hosted many shows throughout my career, but I have never been more excited about co-hosting a show than I am about being part of this pet gala! I love animals. I’ve got all kinds, and of course, I’ve always had little dogs around, and big ones,” said Parton. “We’re going to have some of all kinds and colors on the show, and there is nothing more fun to me than when little animals do what they do best! And I know all the animal lovers out there are going to love this show,”

Parton will be on the pink carpet with co-host Jane Lynch and runway correspondents Kelly Osbourne and Rachel Smith. Special guests include Drew Barrymore, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Margaret Cho, Neil Patrick Harris, Carson Kressley, Jim Nantz, Iain Armitage and Jessica Simpson.

All parties involved, the human and furry kinds are jumping for joy. As Parton has said, “I think the dogs will be barking, the audience will be howling and I’ll be rubbed and ready.”
