Dog show in Gonzales: When, where, what to know
GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Kennel Club is hosting its annual Jambalaya Cluster Dog Show from Thursday, May 30 through Sunday, June 2 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.
Show hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with judging starting at 8:30 a.m. each day.
The kennel club is expecting more than 700 dogs and their owners from all over the United States to participate, representing close to 100 breeds.
In addition to all of the dogs and their exhibitors, several vendors will be there selling dog-related items. Best of all, the event is entirely free to the public with no admission or parking charges.
Club organizers said the public can not bring their personal dogs to the event. However, the dog show is open to people of all ages. Organizers said it’s a great opportunity to learn about purpose-bred dogs.
