From Woman's Day

Ben & Jerry's has officially become a dog-friendly brand. Vermont's Finest just introduced its very first Doggie Desserts line, complete with two absolutely delicious flavors for your furry friends. Each one is specifically formulated for dogs, using a sunflower butter base that makes it dog-friendly and drool-worthy. Whether your pup is a big fan of salty treats or prefers the sweet stuff, they won't be disappointed by either of the new flavors named after two dogs in Ben & Jerry's dog-friendly headquarters — Pontch, a Frenchie, and Rosie, a rescue pup with mixed heritage.

"Pontch's Mix" is filled with lots of peanut butter and pretzel swirls that'll be an instant crowd-pleaser for any pup. But if little Fido is all about the sweets, he'll love the cool creaminess of pumpkin and mini cookies in "Rosie's Batch." And the best part of these Doggie Desserts? They're made from high-quality ingredients that can be found in current Ben & Jerry's ice cream recipes, making them the paw-sitively perfect treats for any four-legged friend after a long walk or playdate.

"We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family," Lindsay Bumps, a Ben & Jerry’s Global Marketing Specialist and certified veterinary technician, said in a press release. "We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs. Doggie Desserts are the sweetest treat they'll ever put their paws on."

But Ben & Jerry's dog line doesn't stop there. The company also partnered with suppliers to offer fun little accessories for your pup, like a 6-foot custom tie-dye leash made from recycled water bottles and a cone-shaped plush toy stuffed with recycled fill. Limited quantities of the merchandise can be found on Ben & Jerry's online store.

Doggie Desserts will be sold in supermarkets, mass retailers, and select pet stores nationwide. The frozen treats come in individual 4-ounce mini cups or in 4-count multipacks at $2.99 and $4,99, respectively.

So, grab a Pontch's Mix mini cup for your pup, a pint of Half Baked for yourself, and settle onto the couch for that night's marathon-watch of choice.
