Dog Mom Finds Out Pet Sitter Lost Her Dog in the Worst Possible Way

There are absolutely fantastic pet sitters, and some that are just not so great. The TikTok account for @Ourlittleroadschool discovered this when she hired someone via Rover to look after her elderly Weimaraner.

Watch the following to see the ordeal she has been through.

In the video description the creator asks, "She’s 13 and a half. We have had her since we were 19 and she was tiny. We never once had to utilize her tags or microchip. I understand things happen, but where she was picked up, she easily could have been hit by a car and left. How do I even handle this?"

Long story short, the dog somehow got away from the pet sitter, a stranger returned the dog to the owner, and the dog sitter never called to inform the owner she had lost the dog.

TikTok users are rightfully angry about this and @Christina, someone who works for Rover, posts, "As a Rover sitter, I could never. That’s insane. PLEASE report that to Rover, they will do something about it." @Sinie replies, "Another Rover sitter here. OMG. I had a dog slip under the fence in the back yard while I was playing with her and I immediately freaked out and called Rover Support and the owner. I got her on my leash like 3 minutes later, but for those 3 minutes I was in a PANIC! Owner didn't tell me there was a spot at the fence where she could escape, and I legit thought I was was gonna have a heart attack!" @Kels adds, "I’m a rover sitter and these stories make me sick. I treat those babies like they’re my own and I can’t imagine being this negligent."

The video creator posted an update addressing some questions:
