Service Dog Meets Chewbacca at Hollywood Studios and Total Cuteness Ensues

Medical service dogs are specially trained pups that provide assistance and support to individuals with medical conditions or disabilities. These highly skilled dogs are trained to perform a variety of tasks and services tailored to meet the specific needs of their owners.

These dogs are so amazing that it's easy to forget that they are just, well, dogs. Check out TikTok user @Radiantlygolden's service dog's reaction to meeting Chewbacca for a happy reminder that even service dogs love Chewie!

Forest is also just a big 'ol Wookie! We love the way he just falls over at Chewbacca's big furry feet for some tummy scritches.

Service animals are always welcome at both Disney World and Disneyland, and Disneydining.com explains what happens if a guest with a service animal wants to enjoy a ride. Some rides permit the animals to ride while others have restrictions that don’t permit service animals to join their owner on the attraction. According to Disney’s website, "due to the nature of some attractions, service animals may not be permitted to ride. At these locations, please ask a Cast Member about available options.”

If you are planning a trip with your pup (Or miniature pony, because these as service animals are also allowed in the park!) AllEars.net has a handy guide to which rides your service animal can accompany you on. For more information about bringing your service animal to the theme parks, you can call Disability Services at 407-560-2547 or email them at disability.services@disneyparks.com
