Fall is finally here, and that means cooler days, falling leaves, and pumpkin spice lattes! Pumpkin is actually a healthy treat for pups, and so if you like PSLs, your dog will too. Liz of @Pearl the Golden Girl & Liz shared a dog friendly PSL recipe on Friday, September 22nd, and based on her dog Pearl's reaction, it's definitely a hit!

The recipe is simple: 1/2 cup of fat-free milk, 1/2 cup of bone broth, and 3 spoonfuls of 100% pure pumpkin. Stir it up, top it with pumpkin spice, and voila! A PSL that your dog won't be able to resist!

I think it's safe to say that @Pearlthegolden was a huge fan of the pup-kin spice latte! Liz does note to use water instead of milk if your fur baby is lactose intolerant, and to only use 100% pure pumpkin with no sugars or other additives. Also, it looks like a pretty messy treat, so this might be one for your pup to enjoy outside.

Commenters appreciated the pup-kin recipe. @Amand Mulleneaux shared, "My dog is about to be real bougie this weekend when I make this for her!" @Kirstie said, "That’s cute, I have never seen pumpkin seasoning for a dog", to which Liz replied, "The little seasoning shaker is a pumpkin flavored topper packed with protein and amino acids that helps with nutrient absorption". @Donna Bonila and several others agreed, "Schlop schlop schlop music to my ears!"  @CJ even admitted, "Him and I drink lattes the same way".

A few people mentioned that their dogs' tummies don't do well with pumpkin. All dogs are different, so if you haven't given your dog pumpkin before, maybe give them a couple of tastes of it instead of the whole treat at once to see how they react to it.
