Here It Is: The Dog Food Jingle Jed Was Talking About on ‘The Bachelorette‘

What was it like when you first met your partner’s parents? Did you really charm them and totally hit it off? Or did it end up with your girlfriend’s dad grilling you about your finances? With her parents telling your partner that they weren’t too sure about you? Oh, also all on national television? Because that’s what happened to Jed in the first part of the season finale of The Bachelorette last night.

One of the major concerns Papa Brown had about Jed was his ability to provide for Hannah financially, because (in case it hadn’t been hammered in enough this season) Jed is a musician who is TOTALLY not here for the wrong reasons *cough*. As slightly dated as the whole breadwinner thing is, it did lead to the fantastic moment where Jed described a jingle he wrote for a dog food commercial as his “first real breakthrough.” Daddy B. didn’t seem terribly impressed, and neither did Bachelor Nation on Twitter:

If you thought that Bachelor Nation wouldn’t be able to find said jingle, then you sorely underestimate their sleuthing ability. The song is for the dog food brand Better Bowl and features lyrics like, “The kind of love like nothing you’ve seen before”—a line that I can definitely picture Jed reusing, and not just in reference to the magic of dogs.

Meanwhile, the Better Bowl Twitter account (which has a whopping 22 followers) is having an absolute field day over the increase in attention over the jingle:

There’s also this very confusing tweet, possibly referring to anyone who isn’t thrilled by a company’s decision to work with an alleged cheater and liar:

It seems like the jingle was recorded pre-Bachelorette cast announcement, and Jed did say that he “signed a deal” with the dog food company—could this mean follow-up jingles?! Only time will tell.
