Dog Has Emotional Reunion with His Mom After Being Missing for 7 Years
It's so wonderful that they found their way back to each other!
The heartbreak that occurs when a pet goes missing is something no one should ever go through. And if you've unfortunately experienced this before, you know how it can be such an emotional rollercoaster. You're devastated and still have hope, but how long can that hope last that your fur babies are out there?
Well, one dog owner is proving that even after several years one can still hold onto hope. Seven years ago, two dogs went missing from Fauquier County, Virginia. It was just earlier this month did one of those dogs end up at a shelter in Spotsylvania. The happy ending was shared on the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter Facebook page. You won't believe this reunion!
O.M.G. Seven years later and this baby is home?! That's the most beautiful thing ever! We're so glad this dog had his microchip in so the shelter could contact his rightful owners. This truly gives us hope that their other dog Hutch will find his way back home too.
"This is the best post ever! I can't imagine how happy they both are to be reunited after 7 years! Congrats to Starsky and his Momma. Praying that Hutch is brought home too!" said Facebook user Gina Hill. Imagine how many happy tears, hugs and kisses happened at this reunion. And we bet those kisses won't stop anytime soon. They got to make up for all the time lost! Kimberly Wolfe added, "Better than winning the lottery! That sweet baby knows exactly who that is! Yay!"
Shannon Eaton commented, "I wish the microchip could also be a GPS and track every movement so people who steal dogs can get arrested." We too wish for that! And who knows, maybe one day that could happen.
