Dog Day Care’s Video of Homesick Husky Will Make Any Parent Sob

Our pets are just like our kids, and sometimes it's not the way we treat them; it's the way they act. Whether it's having a tantrum or misbehaving, pets are just like toddlers.

The staff of the doggy daycare, Better K9 Pet Resort, experiences the childlike behavior of their dogs on a daily basis, as they captured in this cute video posted on October 25, and we can all relate to it!

Aw, look at how sad he is!

Huskies are known for their independent and sometimes aloof nature, but like all dogs, they can develop strong bonds with their owners.

A homesick Husky may whine, howl, or bark more frequently when their owners are away, as you can see in this video. This is their way of expressing their anxiety or desire for their owner's presence.

Bodhi has absolutely no interest in playing with his friends and just wants to lay there and whine.

In some cases, homesick dogs, not just Huskies, may exhibit restlessness and have difficulty settling down, or they may engage in destructive behavior when they feel anxious or miss their owners.

Some dogs may even lose their appetite when they're feeling homesick or anxious.

Hopefully, Bodhi will adjust soon. Maybe he just needs comforting items, such as a blanket or a piece of clothing with his owner's scent, to provide a sense of familiarity and comfort.

Offering toys and puzzles could be another option that could keep Bodhi's mind engaged while his owner is away, as mental stimulation can help reduce anxiety.

So, if you have an anxious and clingy dog, you can gradually train it to feel comfortable while you're gone by providing his favorite toy and a blanket with your scent on it.

Essentially, dogs are just like toddlers.
