Dog Dad Shares Top 5 Pet Trend Predictions for 2024

If you have pets, chances are that you are crazy about them and treat them like family. Madmax Fluffyroad (AKA Maxine) is an internet famous corgi and she's well loved by her family and her huge fan base. Her dog dad recently came up with the Top 5 pet trend predictions for 2024, and I think he's pretty on point with most of them!

Maxine's dad shared his predictions on Friday, January 11th. To sum them up pretty simply, pets rule our world, and what they want they get. From where and how we live to technology and even gorpcore (he explains), our focus on keeping our pets happy, safe, and healthy is a definite priority for all of us!

Which ones do you think are trends that we'll see more of this year? I'm betting that the technology thing happens - even if you don't run out and buy your pup a computer. I mean more along the lines of staying in touch with our pets when we aren't home...like this cool robot that will keep your pet company and deliver treats while you're away. And people love dressing up their pets in cute clothes and accessories - I definitely see more of that happening too! Only one of @Maxine's fans' comments stood out to me...@Sandy Carlson Kaye said, "I hope a trend for 2024 is more influencers putting their dogs in sponsored content. I will happily watch your ad if there's a dog!" I couldn't agree more! I didn't even care that it was an ad because it was cute!

Other Pet Trends That People Love

I see a lot of funny and cool trends on TikTok, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites. I will forever be amused by "cat math", and my husband accuses my daughters and I of using "girl math" to get what we want. Seal math made me chuckle too, and it was adorable! I couldn't help but laugh at the "We're Goldens" trend making the rounds, and love to see people sub out the Goldens for other breeds and animals.

Remember the ghost photoshoots that made the rounds last year at Halloween? It was definitely a fun one!

Another one that I always enjoy are all of the homemade treats people make for their pets. There are dog-friendly martinis and margaritas (no alcohol of course), pumpkin pies, cookies, and all kinds of others. But I think my favorite that I've seen since I've started writing about pets was the "chickcuterie" board that a woman made for her chickens. It was a very creative way to serve up their treats!
