Dog the Bounty Hunter, born Duane Lee Chapman, is sharing a sense of "new meaning" he's recently found in his life.

The TV personality and titular star of A&E's long-running reality series of the same name, is opening up about a new relationship he is grateful to have, while making fans aware of his faith by communicating "God restores and redeems."

On June 26, Chapman took to Instagram with a single snapshot of a couple, revealing that the man and woman in the photo were actually his son, Jon—whom he only just "discovered"—and his daughter-in-law, Jodi.

"For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life," the 70-year-old opened the caption of the social media post, referencing his wife and costar Alice "Beth" Chapman's passing, which took place on June 26, 2019, at the age of 51 after being diagnosed with throat and lung cancer.

He continued his note, expressing gratefulness for finding light at the end of the tunnel. "God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day. So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning," he wrote, before introducing the pair depicted in the image with, "This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi."

Additionally, Dog promised that the "whole story" of his once-unknown son is told in his new book, Nine Lives and Counting, which he noted is "coming SOON."

Aside from Jon, the famous bounty hunter is the father of thirteen other children, including two of which have predeceased him, with several different former wives. In 2021, he tied the knot again in an “emotional and intimate” ceremony in Colorado Springs with Francie Frane.

Wrapping up his lengthy Instagram message, the reality star left fans with an encouraging sentiment: "For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems," he said, before sending celebratory wishes to his child: "Happy birthday son, love you both."
