Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter, is still grappling with the devastating loss of his late wife Beth, who passed away June 26 following a years-long battle with throat cancer. And the grief is taking a toll—physically. The A&E Network star has lost 17 pounds in the last two weeks.

"I can't eat. Two bites, I'm full," he said, opening up to Entertainment Tonight in his first interview since Beth's untimely death. "I got to force-feed myself like I force-fed her." And while he admits he's "trying to man up," for him, that means dealing with the pain head on. "I am a cry baby," Chapman continued. "I could cry talking about crying ... So manning up would be, not 'get over it,' but 'face it.'"

But it's also easier said than done. Especially now that he has to handle Beth's difficult wishes. "I've never done ashes in my life, and that's what she wanted," he said. "[Beth] said scatter some [ashes], leave some on the fireplace. Of course when I go to heaven, she wants me in the box with her."

When it actually came down to doing it, Duane couldn't. "I was going to do all the scattering...and then I looked at [her ashes] and I thought, 'I'm not going to throw you away. Just throw you away and start over? I can't do that.'"
