It’s difficult for celebrities to get away with anything nowadays, especially when it comes to Photoshop fails. Followers aren’t afraid to call out celebs when they notice photo oddities that scream, “I tweaked this picture prior to posting.” Still, we never expected Prince William and Kate Middleton to be among the accused.

Over the weekend, the Prince, 41, and Princess of Wales, 41, shared a glimpse of their 2023 Christmas card. The black and white photo was taken by photographer Josh Shinner, and it featured their three kids—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5—along with the caption, “Our family Christmas card for 2023 [tree emoji] [heart emoji].”

Shortly after the holiday portrait debuted on Instagram, followers started voicing their suspicions that the royal family used Photoshop to digitally alter the image.

One person wrote, “Where’s William’s thigh? Where’s Kate’s other foot?” Another added, “Why is your son missing a finger? And whose legs are those?” The second comment was referring to Prince Louis, who is standing at an odd angle with his hand draped over a chair.

As People points out, Prince Louis’s left foot is tucked underneath the photographer’s seamless background, which drapes across the floor. And his hand is seemingly separated, with two fingers on the visible side and three on the other. Prince William and Princess Catherine’s extremities also appear to be intact, even though they’re blocked by the chair.

We’re not convinced that any Photoshopping took place, but you can take a look and judge for yourself.
