A 'Dodgeball' Sequel Starring Vince Vaughn in Reportedly in Development

According to reports, a sequel to 2004's Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is now in development. The reports note that the film is currently in the early development stages at 20th Century Studios with Vince Vaughn returning for a starring role.

The Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story sequel now has Jordan VanDina attached to write the script around an idea brought by Vaughn. It is currently unclear if Rawson Marshall Thurber, the writer and director behind Dodgeball, will be returning for the sequel.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story chronicled Pete LaFleur (Vince Vaughn) and his Average Joe’s Gym team participating in a dodgeball tournament in Las Vegas to save the gym from being taken over by the corporate health fitness chain Globo Gym, helmed by Ben Stiller's White Goodman. The sports-comedy made $168 million USD worldwide with just a $20 million USD budget and has become a classic 2000s film.
