This Doctor's Hilarious PSA About Christmas Decorations At Target Has People Gasping In Disbelief
Ah, the holidays. They're a time for family, cheer, and apparently...butt stuff.
So as the holiday season draws near, Dr. Adam Aston is appearing on TikTok feeds all over with this important PSA:
His viral reminder has left nearly 10 million audibly gasping (and laughing).
In the video, he starts his plea, "So Target already has some of their Christmas decorations out, and I feel like I should stop for a moment as a doctor and give a small PSA..."
"Do not put this where it doesn't belong."
"Don't put this where it doesn't belong."
"While we're at it, don't put this where it doesn't belong."
"And this. Don't put this where it doesn't belong."
"Do me a favor and don't put this where it doesn't belong."
"Or this."
"Or even this little one!"
"I don't care that it's ribbed. Do not put this where it doesn't belong."
"Not this."
"Not this."
"Don't even think about it."
"Definitely not. You'll get a splinter. I just know, you'll get a splinter."
"Anyway, happy holidays. Stay safe out there, and don't put things where they don't belong," he concludes in his TikTok.
People know he is spitting straight warning signs of importance, so of course, we had to speak to Aston to see what helpful information we could spread when it comes to your booty and the holidays.
Aston — a third-year internal medicine resident who has been practicing medicine since 2021 — told BuzzFeed that he decided to make the TikTok after realizing that a lot of the decorations’ designs resemble objects people may use in the bedroom.
"People have and will always put things where they don't belong, and it's fairly frequent that residents share interesting cases with each other, partially as a warning and partially to help us become aware of what different objects look like when they get stuck somewhere they don't belong," he said.
He reiterated just how important it is to use only intimate objects that are specifically designed for use inside your body if you plan on doing so: "A lot of those Christmas decorations are made from wood, glass, or ceramics, which — with the right amount of force — could splinter or shatter inside someone, causing serious injury."
And Aston told us that he has not personally seen someone come in with a Christmas-themed ~anal accident~ but that doesn't mean someone hasn't tried before: "Maybe my PSA will keep someone from making a mistake!"
Finally, if you find yourself in a situation where something does get stuck inside you, Aston said to please go to the emergency room immediately. "Medical professionals have really seen it all, so there is no need to sacrifice timely medical attention because of embarrassment or anticipated judgment," he concluded.
So, fam: What is our holiday reminder this year? DON'T YOU DARE PUT THINGS WHERE THEY DON'T BELONG.
