DL1961 Kicks Off Spring with Linen Sets and Wide-Leg Jeans

DL1961’s Spring 2024 collection is centered around relaxed, simplicity and airy silhouettes.

Drawing inspiration from the reviving feel of spring, the New York City-based brand focused on voluminous silhouettes, lightweight fabrics and an earth color palette of ecrus and greens.

Recycled, renewable and regenerative materials are used throughout the collection. The denim is manufactured from fiber to finished garment in its family-owned factory in Pakistan. Linen, which is also being used by Mavi, Gap and Lucky Brand this season, is another key element in DL1961’s collection.

Exaggerated wide-leg jeans are among the brand’s new fits. The Lucila Ultra Wide Leg is available in linen and denim, and “provides a balance of statement and comfort for those wishing to explore proportions,” DL1961 stated.

The best-selling Hepburn silhouette returns updated with a low rise and statement cuff. The Zoie Wide Leg is offered in a lightweight cotton linen blend making it an ideal choice for warmer days. The pant is available in alpine green, white and flax.

Wheras pants are growing wider, shorts are growing longer. DL1961 explores variations of the classic Bermuda short. The newly added high waisted Lucila short is offered in vintage indigo, alpine green and ecru. The green style features a hammer loop while the ecru style has cargo pockets.

The brand’s best-selling Taylor silhouette, introduced in the Pre-Spring collection, gets reimagined as an ultra-high rise 7-inch short, available in flax and vintage light.

Shorts are part of DL1961’s growing ready-to-wear assortment. Highlights include linen sets and denim dresses. The Zia Vest can be paired back to the Marie Short and the linen Lucila Ultra Wide Leg pant.

The Daphne and Payton dresses challenge the laid-back reputation denim has often held with their preppy quiet luxury aesthetic, the brand said. The Daphne is a sleeveless, midi tennis dress with a point collar, pleated skirt and front button closure. The Payton is a sleeveless mini dress, available in flax and waxed indigo for a vibrant finish.
