If you've ever wondered how Jourdan Dunn scores that unreal glow, you're in luck. The supermodel shared a recipe for a turmeric face mask on Instagram that's made up of four ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

To make the mask, Dunn mixed yogurt, honey, lemon juice, and turmeric. (Here's how to make the best DIY face mask for your skin type.)

For four ingredients, the mask has an impressive list of perks. Dunn wrote that combo helps keep acne at bay, brighten dark spots, and fight cell damage-and her claims check out with Toral Patel, M.D., a dermatologist practicing in Chicago.

"Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory ingredient and can be used to brighten skin because of its yellow tint," says Dr. Patel. Yogurt and honey both account for the mask's anti-acne benefits since yogurt contains probiotics and honey is a natural antibacterial. The honey and lemon juice also have antioxidants that help fight cell damage.

Don't just wing the recipe (Dunn didn't provide measurements). Using too much lemon juice can damage skin because of its acidity, and overdoing the turmeric can make your skin yellow, Dr. Patel says. "Always start low and then increase," she says.

You should also avoid whole-milk yogurt if you have oily skin. Dr. Patel suggests using roughly 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/8 teaspoon turmeric, a slight squeeze of lemon, and a teaspoon of honey. Apply the mask once a week.
